I hope you're enjoying your summer! I'll admit I've been at my desk far less than anticipated, but c'est la vie. Things will get back to normal in September, one way or another.
A friend asked me to send him a one-page info sheet about my coaching work, so I sat down at my desk and began to write, as I
usually would. My partner, however, decided to play a little game to see if he could do it faster using ChatGPT. Now, I'm still old-school and don't use the tool, but what it came up with was too funny not to share. He asked it to do a one-page summary of my website and to "make it sound smart".
Needless to say I will not be using this, but I do want to remember
some of the hilarious one-liners.
My intention for this email is to:
- Give you a laugh today
- Show you what TERRIBLE copywriting is. It's so important to remember that in your marketing you're speaking to humans, and so talking
like a human is key.
- Demonstrate that ChatGPT is a cool tool, but you can't just take what it spits out and use it. Ask it to re-write it in different styles and give it lots to work with. Use it for ideas if you want (it's fabulous at brainstorming), but don't use it to replace your critical thinking human brain.
