Hi ,
Wow, 2023 has been a big year! I've been spending some time reflecting and celebrating and planning, and it's always crazy how the year can feel both short and long at the same time. I had some big wins, like doing my first workshop in many years and launching a completely new website. I kept writing on a
reasonably regular basis, and I did loads of gift coaching sessions.
The year was also pretty tough business-wise. The world has gone through some big changes and people are much more careful with their money than in previous years. Myself included! Because of this I'll be making some changes in 2024, including creating a new service (or two, we'll see)
and stepping back from doing gift sessions. Stay tuned! (And if there's something you want, let me know!)
And I'm hoping to do at least one video conversation with a colleague each month (like today's), but I'd love to know if you enjoy them or not. Any feedback would be appreciated so I can continue to make things you find valuable.
Someone who helped me a tremendous amount this year was Lauren Van Mullem. Not only did she help me with all the copy on my website AND come up with the name Permission Slips for these emails, she was also an incredibly supportive colleague this year. I've talked about her before, but now you get to see what she's really about in today's video.
I'll be back in January with more juicy content, but for now, enjoy my conversation with Lauren and have a wonderful holiday!
Ethical Copywriting with Lauren Van Mullem
If you run a
business based on trust and relationships, this was made for you.
When I first became a coach, copywriting was a skill I invested a lot of time and money into. I followed the templates, used all the key phrases, and basically just did as I was told. There was one webinar I did about seven years ago where I even made a DIY countdown timer to put on the last page
of my presentation. (There's a short video of it on my website here. Watch what happens 3 seconds in!)
