What's happening in 2024?
Between my colleagues, my clients, my coaching supervisor, and some loving tarot nudges, I'm being
strongly encouraged down a path in my business I wasn't expecting and, in fact, I've been resisting. Over the past few years my work has been deeply resonating with business owners who have ADHD, so I've done some research and worked at supporting them to the best of my ability. As I began to write more, increasingly the feedback I got was from people with ADHD who found my tools and suggestions to be powerful, so I leaned into making my articles and videos more ADHD-friendly. And then a few
weeks ago a dear colleague of mine got an official diagnosis and through the zoom screen basically shook me and said "just do this already!"
The signs couldn't be more clear, and yet I've been stuck in a self-doubt loop. Who am I to coach people with ADHD? I don't have ADHD. Doesn't that make me an imposter?
Finally, though, I decided to listen to the other voices. The ones that say it's precisely because I don't have ADHD that my work resonates so strongly. I am grounded. I am focused. I am organized. I can put together systems in my sleep. I can listen. I can support. I can be a cheerleader. I can hold space for people who struggle to hold space for themselves. I can be the guardrails
and the sounding board. Without judgement. With patience.
ADHD-Friendly Coaching for Business Owners
All that to say, this is what I will be leaning into in 2024. If you don't have ADHD, you're
absolutely welcome here. My articles will still be for business owners who want permission to do things their own way. And if you do have ADHD (or suspect you do) I will be doing my best to make this an even more ADHD-friendly space for you. I will officially be considering myself an ADHD-Friendly Coach for Business Owners.
If you'd like to explore what
coaching could look like for you, I invite you to book a no-pressure call with me. We can talk about your goals, your challenges, and how I can support you and your business in 2024. I would love nothing more than to get to know you more deeply and see you thrive using your gifts and strengths, not what you feel like you "should" be doing.
I look forward to spending the next year together!
